Festive dishes for children 2 years old. Table at a children's birthday party: table design ideas, detailed menu and recipes (photo). Nuggets in cracker breading

Every mother wants the special day of the year - the birthday of her child - to be bright, special and memorable. At 2 years old, the child has no special wishes about what the holiday should be like, so the mother herself must carefully think through everything and organize it so that it is interesting for everyone who is invited, especially children.

A child's birthday should be bright, colorful and interesting

Most parents prefer to spend the holiday at home, it’s more convenient. Competitions, clowns, animation - all this can be ordered at home, but the menu is a little more complicated. We need to prepare dishes that are tasty, healthy and served in a special way to attract the attention of children and make them want to try them.

What dishes to choose, what to serve first and how to serve everything, all these questions are asked by all mothers who are preparing a birthday party for their 2-year-old child.

What should not be on the holiday table

There are small food restrictions that every mother must adhere to if she wants to organize a party for her 2-year-old child and his friends. At this age, not all foods and dishes can be eaten, so the main thing when creating a birthday menu is:

  • no salty, spicy or fatty foods;
  • dishes with pepper, mayonnaise sauce and garlic are not welcome on the table;
  • It is also better to remove smoked meats;
  • do not experiment by mixing many different products in one dish;
  • remove fresh fruits and vegetables from the menu that can cause allergies;
  • do not put on the table fish dishes with bones, grapes, fruits with rough peels and anything that a child could choke on; set aside for holidays of the older generation;
  • Use fruits and vegetables that can stain clothes to a minimum.

Beautiful and tasty snacks

Recently, canape sandwiches have become very popular on children's menus. In order for them to interest children, it is advisable to make them in the unusual shape of boats, stars or bugs. In addition, to prepare them you will need only safe products, and their creation will take little time.

Canapés are prepared only from fresh bread, preferably white, butter, pieces of boiled pork, not fried, but baked, delicate varieties of cheese and vegetables or fruits. Use your imagination and prepare canapés from those products that your beloved baby loves best.

It is important for children to never use skewers and toothpicks for canapés, as the child can prick themselves with them.

Delicious and healthy salads for children's parties

Healthy salads can be laid out on a plate in the shape of an animal or flower, and little children will like this type of serving. There are a large number of salads, each mother can choose from this list for her menu those that she likes, but pay attention to this salad.

Salad "sun"

The first thing I want to say is that it contains orange and lemon, so for children prone to allergies it is better not to cook it, otherwise it is very light, satisfying and tasty.

To prepare it you will need:

  • orange – 2 pcs.;
  • chicken egg - 2 pcs., but they can be replaced with 8 quail eggs, which will make the salad even more healthy;
  • boiled chicken – 300 g;
  • cucumber;
  • apple.

As a dressing, you can use a sauce made from yogurt, olive oil, a couple of drops of lemon juice and egg yolks.

The salad is prepared like this: oranges, cucumber and apple, peeled and cut as finely as possible. Peel the egg, chop finely and add to the rest of the ingredients, do the same with the chicken. Add salt, mix and place beautifully in the shape of a sun on a plate, pour sauce on top.

The salad is ready, you can serve it to the kids. But remember that citrus fruits can cause allergies, so ask mothers invited to the baby shower about whether they can eat fruits that can provoke such a reaction. Be sure to adjust the menu based on this.

Salad "Tropics"

The birthday menu for 2-year-old children should be varied, satisfying and light, so parents should pay attention to the “Tropics” salad, which almost all children love and eat with great pleasure. The recipe is quite simple and easy, and does not require much expense, as it contains a small amount of ingredients.

Its preparation will need:

  • 300 g chicken, only boiled;
  • 300-400 grams of pineapples;
  • 1 apple, preferably green;
  • grapes in the amount of 1 cup.

Peel the apples, grate them on a fine grater and sprinkle lightly with lemon juice. Chop the pineapple and add to the apples; do the same with the meat. Cut the grapes into two halves and add to the dish. You can season it with mayonnaise, but only homemade or yogurt.

Children eat sweet fruit salad with great pleasure!

You can also add a vegetable salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and herbs to your holiday menu, but just cut the vegetables finely and season them with olive oil. It is better to serve the salad on the table in small salad bowls for each child separately.

Sweet fruit salad

Your child will eat this delicious salad with great pleasure. It is prepared immediately before guests arrive, as the fruit may lose its color and the salad will not look very attractive. It is worth asking the parents of the invited children if they are allergic to bee products and nuts; if not, then add honey to the bottom of the salad bowl, and sprinkle the top of the salad with chopped nuts.

For the salad you will need:

  • green apple, banana;
  • 1 glass of raisin grapes;
  • 1 pear fruit;
  • a glass of yogurt.

Take the fruits without peels and cut them into small pieces. Divide the grapes in half and combine with fruit. Mix everything, place in small salad bowls, and pour yogurt over the top of the dish. This tasty and at the same time light dish is prepared quickly and is sure to please children.

A child’s birthday comes once a year, and 2 years once in a lifetime, and every mother wants to make this day special, so the menu for this day is carefully selected.

The salads are ready, but what would a holiday be without main courses? But what can you cook for a children’s birthday that would be beautiful, tasty and the children would like it?

Second courses

For a children's birthday, you should not prepare a lot of hot dishes, because children eat little, they are more interested in entertainment than in the festive table. Therefore, for a children's party you can only prepare a side dish and a meat dish.

For a children's birthday, when the child is only 2 years old and almost all the guests are the same age, it is better to choose meat dishes with minced meat. They cook quickly, the meat turns out tender and soft, and a 2-year-old child will eat it with pleasure.

Each mother decides for herself which recipe to choose for her child’s birthday, but perhaps you will like this one more.

Chicken zrazy with quail egg

Little children will definitely like these zrazy, because they are very tender and tasty, and besides, they have a little secret inside that will interest the children and make them eat the dish.

Children will definitely like chicken zrazy with quail egg!

To prepare them you will need:

  • 400 g minced chicken;
  • 1/3 cup rice;
  • small carrots;
  • bulb;
  • 12 boiled quail eggs;
  • 2 tomatoes.

The zrazy is prepared like this:

  1. Grind the onion in a blender and add to the minced meat.
  2. Add the finished rice to the minced meat.
  3. Add salt and mix thoroughly until the minced meat becomes soft.
  4. Roll the minced meat into a ball, hide a peeled quail egg inside and roll it up.
  5. Boil in boiling water for about 10 minutes; carefully lower them into the water on a spoon.
  6. Fry carrots and tomatoes in a frying pan.
  7. Place zrazy in the gravy, add broth until it completely covers them.
  8. Simmer for 20 minutes, then put the pan in the oven for 5 minutes.

You can serve zrazy with a surprise with any of the side dishes, but your child will definitely love multi-colored mashed potatoes; it is also very healthy, as it is prepared from natural products. It is very easy to prepare.

Potato puree “Traffic light”

Every mother should like dishes made from natural products enriched with useful substances; besides, bright colors perfectly decorate the table and attract children who come to the holiday.

What's a birthday without sweets! Preference should be given to light, not too sweet pastries and cakes.

To make colorful mashed potatoes you will need:

  • potatoes – 1 kg;
  • butter – 50 g;
  • cream – 200 ml;
  • carrot juice – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • beetroot – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • spinach juice – 3 tbsp. l.

Boil the peeled potatoes until tender, adding salt during cooking. After the water has been drained, you need to mash the potatoes by adding butter and cream. Beat everything well so that the mass is light and homogeneous. Divide the puree into three parts: add carrot juice to the first, beet juice to the 2nd, and spinach to the third. Place the puree in the form of balls in a frying pan and place in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.

For a children's birthday party, you don't have to bake multi-colored puree balls, but simply put them beautifully on each child's plate. This puree will decorate any table.

The birthday of a child, especially one who turns 2 years old, should be interesting, the menu is ready, now you need to choose drinks and sweets.

As for drinks, milkshakes of different colors with the addition of fruit are good; here everything depends on the mother’s imagination. Milkshakes are very healthy and taste good; every child will drink such a drink with great pleasure if you put it on the table.

But as for sweets, preference should be given to light, not too sweet pastries and cakes. “Bird's Milk”, “Carrot” cake or any other cake are perfect, but only with light and airy cream; children will like this more.

There is no need to overload the table for a small child’s birthday; the main thing for him is entertainment and games with friends. Prepare the dishes that the birthday boy likes best, he will eat it with pleasure, and the other children will do the same.

A child’s birthday should be bright, colorful and interesting, so that it is memorable and captivating for children, and the dishes must be originally designed, then any child will want to try them.

A child's birthday, like any other event, has its own characteristics of table setting and organization of the holiday in general. Also, the design of the celebration is influenced by fashion trends, reflected in the decor and rules of its holding.

But all parents have the opportunity to arrange an unforgettable and vibrant holiday for their child and his guests, which will not only be preserved in the common memory, but will also fit into the budget.

To arrange a magical birthday for your child, first of all, you need:

  1. Choose a general theme for the holiday. It could be your favorite cartoon, which will immediately determine the color scheme, holiday attributes, and even the child’s outfit. Today, “Frozen”, “Minions”, “Smeshariki” are especially popular, and classic Disney princesses or comics also remain relevant. The theme of the holiday can be a hobby or the child’s desire for some kind of work;
  2. Choose a room in which a children's table will be organized. This can be the children's room itself, the living room and the kitchen, if its size allows.
  3. Create a menu with suitable recipes. The table must have an assortment of sweets and all sorts of healthy goodies that will not be difficult for children - mini-formats, tartlets, skewers, canapés are desirable;
  4. Prepare small gifts for little guests. These can be toys in the general theme of the holiday, sweet gifts, etc. It’s not bad if children can use them immediately during the celebration, and then take them with them - magic wands, pipes, headbands or decorations, etc. You can put them on plates.

The main thing is to start preparing for a children's party as early as possible, so that you have time to check the selected recipes, use or make your own decor, and find everything you need. At the same time, you need to remember that the children's table is not the place for spicy, fatty, overly salted and smoked dishes, plus it is important to find out in advance from the parents of the little guests whether they are allergic to any foods and exclude them from the menu.

There is no need to come up with overly sophisticated dishes, because children may refuse them - they only eat familiar, traditional food with pleasure. And under no circumstances should you try to force one of the children to eat, because such behavior from adults can lead to hysterics, which will ruin the entire holiday.

Table decoration for a children's birthday

Decorating a children's table for holiday gatherings has its own requirements:

  1. Maintaining the overall color scheme. Regardless of whether a specific theme is chosen for the holiday (cartoons, professions, hobbies, etc.) or a neutral design in the form of stars, hearts, polka dots, etc. is chosen, it is important that the entire table setting matches 2-3 primary colors or shades of choice;
  2. Decorating the space around and above the table. These can be “Happy Birthday!” garlands, paper decorations, paper or fabric backgrounds, figurines, flowers, etc.;
  3. Selecting the right cookware. You will definitely need plates, cutlery, glasses, shelves for sweets and fruits, a cake stand, vases for sweets, and trays and more dishes may also come in handy. But for reasons of convenience and safety, it is better to choose paper or plastic dishes, which can be made in the colors of the holiday. No - universal white will do;
  4. Making a festive tablecloth. It should also fit into the color scheme, so you should not purchase a tablecloth separately for one holiday. It can even be a disposable oilcloth, if it suits the theme, but even the simplest white tablecloth can be easily decorated with frills or a garland (using a stapler), or painted with watercolors, adding inscriptions and drawings;
  5. Making decorations for the festive table. We are talking about themed napkins, vases, placemats, decorations for straws, cutlery, cakes and desserts, candlesticks, etc. – all this can be made from scrap materials;
  6. Decoration of chairs. Chairs are an important attribute of the festive table, for which they need to be draped, tied with bows, decorated with balls, or name plates and other attributes corresponding to the theme should be hung on them.

A child's birthday is a celebration of the belly (including for parents), its menu must be composed of simple but very tasty dishes.

Nuggets, French fries, baked potatoes with stuffing, macaroni and cheese, salad tartlets, etc. have the greatest chance of being eaten, and not complex meat or vegetable dishes.

A children's table can even consist entirely of snacks - small sandwiches, mini-burgers, pies, spring rolls, etc. As an option - a sweet table of donuts, muffins, cookies, cakes, macaroons, lollipops, marshmallows, marmalade, sweets and , of course, a cake with candles.

You can supplement sweets with fruits, berries, nuts and yoghurts (including frozen ones). Naturally, you also need juices or soda.

Children's birthday buffet table: menu planning and recipes

If it is clear that the birthday boy and his guests are active children, and it will be difficult for them to sit still at a festively set table, it is appropriate to opt for a buffet table option, in which many portioned snacks such as canapés will be placed on a separate table. Usually, such table setting delights the children, and they eat everything with appetite.

Place the resulting balls on a greased baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees until crusty.

This is the simplest and most versatile recipe - you can put any salad your child likes into tartlets, including traditional Olivier salad and crab salad. The tartlets themselves can be bought at any store, or made from puff pastry or shortcrust pastry in muffin tins. As a result, the children's buffet table will be greatly supported.

How to decorate a children's birthday table: ideas, photos

Some of the most relevant themes in children's party decor today are “Princesses” and “Frozen” for girls, “Pirates” and “Minions” for boys.

You can create a fabulous atmosphere of a Disney holiday for a little princess with the help of bright and lush decorations - clusters of balloons, pink bows and ribbons, streamers with inscriptions, draperies of chairs, tables and lampshades, paper garlands. In this case, it is desirable to have more flowers in the design - both live and artificial, and even in pots, as well as cardboard models of castles and towers or posters with drawings of them.

The cartoon “Frozen” won the hearts of all girls, so a holiday in this style will surely make them the happiest in the world. Here blue and white colors come to the fore, as well as any imitations of snow and ice.

Snowdrifts made of padding polyester or other material, cardboard figures painted with glitter paint or covered with shiny adhesive paper, snowflakes made from Christmas decorations, cookies of the same shape, cupcakes with blue cream and sprinkled with silver confectionery sprinkles... And balls.

You can throw a pirate party for your little birthday boy using bandanas, vests and pirate hats, which are sold in many children's stores. You can also find toy daggers and treasure chests there. The treat includes bananas, chocolate coins, snacks with seafood and caviar (you can imitate it).

“Minions” are adored by all children, so decorating a children’s birthday party in this style is suitable not only for boys, but also for mixed celebrations. It is advisable to find minion hats or masks for all guests, but you can simply print their images from the Internet and hang them on the walls.

You can write wish cards in the distorted language of the minions and distribute them to children, learn a funny dance with them. Bananas are also a must in the treats, as well as all kinds of images of these creatures.

And some more ideas for dishes for a children's birthday in the next video.

In the renewed life of young mothers, it also happens that the first solid table for young guests must be prepared for the youngest children, whose needs are still far from those of adults. A children's birthday menu for children under 3 years old can be such a test for a woman's intelligence, so we decided to write a cheat sheet on this topic. We will discuss the characteristics of children and offer recipes that will not harm even those children who are definitely not ready to accept dishes from the common table.

So, what should you consider to avoid harming children aged about 3 years?

  • Remember about allergies! We exclude highly allergenic foods from the menu (honey, citrus fruits, strawberries, exotic fruits, etc.).
  • We avoid heavy foods, i.e. we exclude the so-called “adult foods” - smoked meats, carbonated drinks, eggplants, mushrooms, poorly cooked rice, millet, white cabbage, unsoaked beans, peas, etc.

This is great if your baby has few dietary restrictions. If he quickly and painlessly switches from a children's menu to an adult one, is not prone to intestinal disorders, recovers regularly and wields a fork perfectly.

However, a birthday is an occasion when different children should feel comfortable in your home. And this difference will concern not only behavior at a party or capricious refusal of new food for reasons inexplicable to you.

In such young children, the difference primarily lies in the degree of maturity of the digestive tract, in the feeding habits at home and in the level of development of household skills. Among them is the level of independent use of a spoon, fork and cup.

Therefore, it makes sense to offer carefully thought-out dishes to young guests.

The surest approach is to know the individual characteristics of each invited child. This removes all problems. And if among the future guests there are children with allergies to eggs or milk, then our task is to offer them dietary meatballs.

At the same time, do not forget about the baby who cannot eat a pear or watermelon, cut for everyone. Buy sweet apples, etc. for him.

  • The ingredients of food and their general appearance should be well known to children.
  • The names of the dishes should also be familiar.
  • Methods for eating all dishes on the children's menu should be limited to one cutlery - a spoon.
  • The ideal option is to be able to take the food with your hand.
  • Most dishes should be served in portions.

Moving on to the menu, we will not divide it into the usual three “appetizer - main course - dessert”. We’ll just try to choose 1 savory dish and 1 dessert dish from the proposed recipes.

You will find this recipe in the article about. By the way, it also describes a profitable buffet serving for a child’s birthday, because it does not require cutlery.

Take a closer look at the ideas - keeping in mind the very young age of the invitees!

Meatballs or steamed cutlets: crabs, hedgehogs and fish

Let's prepare meatballs from light varieties of meat, preferably poultry. And when serving, we will complement them with beautifully laid out mashed potatoes. For this we use a pastry bag.

A universal option is to cut the meatballs into pieces accessible to children, placing them in a circle along the edges of the mound of mashed potatoes.

If you are confident in the children’s ability to break the meatballs with a spoon or can cut the dish for each child, then serve the meat in a playful design - see the article on birthdays for children from 3 to 5 years old.

Desserts and their recipes, which are covered in a separate article

A sweet table for a children's birthday is highlighted in separate articles.

If you decide not to limit yourself to sliced fruits and candies, then look through our selections. Perhaps you will look for something interesting for a holiday for children under 3 years old.

Children under 3 years old are a special category of eaters. Among them may be allergy sufferers, children with frequent dyspepsia, little ones and whimsical children. We hope you found some recipes or birthday menu ideas you liked for children under 3 years old in our article.

Remember all the components of the selected recipes to easily answer possible questions from the parents of young guests. And let these questions be dictated only by admiration for the good appetite of a satisfied child!

Menu for a child's birthday should be compiled in accordance with the age of the guests and their preferences. All dishes should be tasty, colorful, healthy and balanced. Kids will definitely love the original presentation.

In order to avoid troubles, parents who are organizing the holiday need to find out from the parents of their young guests whether any of them are allergic to certain foods, sweets, or drinks.

It is also necessary to take into account that children are not very neat at the table, they do not like to sit in one place for a long time and prefer simpler, familiar dishes to various unknown delicacies.

And it is not necessary to prepare many dishes, there may be several of them, but they must be distinguished by their originality. For example, you can put them in crispy shortcrust pastry baskets and decorate them with vegetables.

It is also worth considering the idea of the holiday. If this is, for example, the dishes should correspond to the theme.

1. There should be no spicy, salty, or too fatty dishes on the table. Try to exclude fried foods and snacks with lots of mayonnaise, pepper, garlic, and smoked foods.

2. You should not experiment with salads: introduce new components and add too many ingredients. Remember that children prefer traditional dishes that are familiar to them.

3. If children are very young, exclude brightly colored fruits and vegetables from the menu, which can cause allergies.

4. If you prepare fish dishes, it must be thoroughly cleaned of bones.

5. No carbonated drinks. Only juices, compotes, uzvars, mineral water.

How to organize a holiday so that the children remain well-fed and happy?

We present to your attention a menu for a child’s birthday (recipes with photos):

1) Sandwiches

This is a great ingredient menu for a child's birthday . I will not dwell on this dish in detail, since we have two articles devoted to it on our website:

But I want to note that when making sandwiches, it is advisable to use ingredients familiar to children and decorate them beautifully.

2) Festive canapés

Children really like canapés because they are tiny in size and easy to use thanks to the skewers. Canapés are prepared from various products: vegetables, fruits, berries, cheese, eggs, champignons, sausages, etc.

Let's take a closer look at how to prepare canapés.

For example, canapes with sausage and tomatoes

Ingredients:

- 1 baguette of black grain bread;
- 200 g boiled sausage;
- 1 sprig of small tomatoes;
— 150 g processed cheese;
- a bunch of lettuce leaves;
- parsley.

Preparing canapés:

Cut the bread into slices and spread with melted cheese. Place a lettuce leaf on each slice.

Fold thin slices of sausage into quarters and pierce them with a skewer, placing a small sprig of parsley inside. Cut the tomato in half and stick it on a skewer.

Canapes with boiled pork and cucumber

Ingredients:

- White bread;
- boiled pork;
- butter;
- olives;
- dill;
- cucumbers.

Preparing canapés:

Cut the bread into triangles, grease with butter. Place the boiled pork. Cut the cucumber into longitudinal slices and thread onto skewers. Garnish with olives and dill.

3. Holiday tartlets

To make holiday tartlets, I buy molds in the store and prepare the filling myself. These can be meat, vegetable, fruit or fish salads, pates. The molds are filled with salads and decorated beautifully.

4. Hot dishes

As for the side dish, as practice shows, you shouldn’t cook it a lot. I suggest making potato mushrooms. To do this, you need to boil the potatoes in their jackets and cut out mushroom-shaped pieces from them. Grease them with sunflower oil, place on a baking sheet and bake in the oven.

Another dish that children love is pizza. I make two types of pizza:

— with chicken and champignons;
- sausage.

I most often buy pizza preparation. I grease it with homemade sour cream and children's ketchup. And then I finely chop either boiled sausage, or chicken fillet and champignons. I grate hard cheese on top of it on a coarse grater and decorate it with pieces of tomato, pepper, olives, and sprigs of herbs.

To prepare shish kebab, chicken fillet (boneless) needs to be cut into cubes and marinated.

Marinade: 3 tbsp. spoons of sour cream or kefir, 2 tbsp. spoons of lean or olive oil, 3 tbsp. spoons of lemon juice, pepper and salt to taste.

Mix everything and season the meat. Add onion, cut into pieces. But you shouldn’t string onions onto skewers - many children don’t eat them. It is needed to taste and soften the fillet.

Place the marinated meat in the refrigerator for 10-12 hours.

Thread the fillet pieces onto skewers. Fry in a frying pan until golden brown in a large amount of vegetable oil.

5. Sweet table

If you set out to create a list of recipes that list all the dishes for a children's party, you will get a whole culinary encyclopedia of many volumes. And still, such a list will not be relevant for long, because every day those who like to experiment in the kitchen make changes to traditional recipes, or even invent new dishes of their own making, and then gladly share their discoveries with friends.

As a rule, a birthday celebration takes several hours, and during this time children can be fed several times. This could be a light snack, a buffet, a meal between games, tasting some dishes according to the script, the main stage of the feast, or, finally, the destruction of desserts and a birthday cake.

Each of these stages has its own dishes. If you carefully look at the popular dishes for a children's party and create a sample menu, you can divide them into categories:
