No matter how you put your own or baby's underwear in the closet, it still creates a mess. Therefore, hostesses often assign him one of the drawers of the chest of drawers or a separate rack. But there will be no order in the established place if the linen is simply stored on the shelf.

An organizer is an advantageous device for storing underwear, socks, and handkerchiefs. This is a box with cells, into which small household items are conveniently folded. Evaluate the sentences in f. 1. We will be glad if you take our advice as a basis.

Many design versions

The do-it-yourself lingerie organizer can have any shape and is made of different materials. The simplest version is a dense cardboard box with cardboard or corrugated cardboard membranes. When the membrane walls are made of felt, it is more pleasant to take panties from such a box. Cardboard lined with cloth also looks prettier. Sometimes holofiber, foam rubber, synthetic winterizer are added to the walls, and the frame is also sheathed with fabric. The finished product looks good, pasted over with wallpaper or decorated with decoupage technique, other decoration.

What do we need? Form 3 clearly shows all the necessary materials and tools.

  • 1. Choose a cardboard box that is strong and fits your shelf. The height can be reduced by cutting off the sides with a clerical knife.
  • 2. Depending on the size of the box, they are divided into cells. For this, rectangular membranes are cut out of thick cardboard or corrugated cardboard. They need to be divided so that cells with an area of \u200b\u200b7-8 square meters are obtained. cm.
  • 3. Moving on to decorating. In our case, we used special paper with a specific texture. But you can use ordinary writing paper. We glue the membranes with decorated paper, and leave them to dry under a press. To decorate the box, the sides are first pasted over, and then the bottom with one material. For the exterior design, we use thick paper with a pattern.
  • 4. Move on to marking the planks. On the longitudinal membranes, we make markings from the side where the glued edges are visible. On the transverse slats, the opposite is true. Due to this, the assembled grille will look neat and harmonious. Every 7-8 cm we make marks, and then cuts to the middle. We collect the grate and insert it into the box.
  • 5. Look what we had initially and what happened with the organizer. A dramatic change. You can do this in your closet.

If you are friends with a sewing machine, you can decorate the inner partitions and cover with fabric.

Many of us like it when order reigns on the shelves of cabinets and dressers and every thing is in its place. For those who want to save money on buying a finished product, we suggest making a laundry organizer quickly and easily with your own hands.

Everyone knows that the more careful to treat things, the longer they will last. Items of clothing lying in closets in a pile of rags will soon lose their appearance. Special organizers will help you get rid of the mess. With their help, things will be stored neatly, each in its place. A laundry organizer is a rectangular or square drawer with several compartments for items. A rigid frame lies at its base. It is best to place it in a dresser. In this case, the box will be reliably protected from dust and sunlight. It is best to choose a material for it that is light, but not easily soiled.

Stores are ready to offer boxes of all colors and modifications. We want to familiarize you with master classes that will demonstrate that making an organizer is a very simple task.

We make a do-it-yourself laundry organizer from fabric quickly and easily

For those who know how to sew and want to put things in order in the linen closet, we have prepared a photo guide. It illustrates the making of a fabric organizer.

We need:
  • thick colored fabric;
  • thinner contrasting fabric;
  • synthetic winterizer;
  • wide tape for finishing the edges;
Organizer manufacturing:
  1. Cut out two rectangles from thick fabric and padding polyester. In size, they should be slightly smaller than the dimensions of the box so that the future box does not deform.
  2. Sew on the longitudinal partitions of the organizer. To do this, you need to sew on a padding polyester base long rectangles made of contrasting fabric. The length is the same as the base, and the width is twice the height of the sides of the box.
  3. Sew the rectangles in the middle, fold them so that the seam is inside. Thus, a double partition is created.
  1. Draw the workpiece based on how many cells are needed.
  2. Stitch in large rectangles, retreating from the edge by one and a half centimeters.
  3. Calculate the dimensions of the small partitions. Take into account the width, taking into account the seam allowances, and make the height slightly smaller.
  4. Sew partitions from fabric folded in half. Turn the workpieces right out.
  1. Sew each small partition in turn on both sides. It is better to do the work by hand.
  1. Sew two halves of the edges of the blanks. Steam, hide the seam inside and sew.
  2. Trim the top of all partitions with tape.
  3. Sew the main rectangular walls along the perimeter of the product, and to them the edges of the partitions manually.
  4. Attach the rectangle cut out at the beginning of the work to the synthetic winterizer. You can decorate the bottom with any seam, but it is better to work in a zigzag pattern. During use, the threads will not be knocked out.
  5. Tape the edges and outside corners. The laundry organizer is ready.

Thanks to the synthetic winterizer at the base of the frame, such a box can be washed several times a year.

Trying to make a practical cardboard organizer

We offer the next master class to those who do not know how or do not want to sew an organizer. Let's make it out of boxes. When finished, you will receive a stylish laundry storage box.

We will need:
  • cardboard box;
  • vinyl wallpapers or covers of glossy magazines;
  • wallpaper glue;
  • brush;
  • stationery: long ruler, pencil, scissors, stapler.
Making an organizer:
  1. Take measurements from the drawer in which the future box will be located. Based on these dimensions, you need to choose a suitable box. It is advisable that the dimensions of the box are one centimeter smaller than the dimensions of the box, since after pasting the thickness of the organizer will increase.
  1. Cut off the top of the box one centimeter lower than the height of the box. Use the cuttings as partitions. Disassemble the box carefully.
  2. Cover the box with wallpaper, cover the bottom separately.
  1. Determine what size the cells will be. Based on this data, cut out the partitions from the cardboard along the length and width of the organizer.
  2. Paste the partitions with wallpaper, and then cut special grooves in them. Thanks to the grooves, they can be easily inserted into one another.
  3. Fix the finished structure with glue and a stapler, let it dry.

Instead of wallpaper, you can use fabric for work. It is glued to cardboard with PVA glue. Since such a box cannot be washed, it is better to choose dark shades of matter. Decorate your organizer with lace, beads or other decorative elements to give your organizer a complete look.

Video tutorial on the topic of the article

We have posted several video tutorials. With their help, you will make a stylish organizer for your favorite lingerie in just a few hours.

Where do you store your underwear and small items (socks, handkerchiefs, etc.)? In plastic bags or in crumbling stacks of laundry on a shelf? We offer you a more modern way - to store accessories in convenient organizers. Such useful things can be bought both in the store, and can be made independently at home from scrap materials.

Having made such an organizer once, I want to keep everything in such boxes in the future. Then the point is not even in beauty, but in practicality and convenience.

So, to make an organizer you need the very minimum:

  • Box (you can take it from the supermarket, or you can use it from under the shoes).
  • Fabric (size depends on the box).
  • PVA glue and small moment glue.
  • Stapler.
  • Thick white cardboard.
  • Masking tape (may not be useful).
  • Pencil, ruler.

    You can use something of your own for decoration. Used here:

  • Wide satin ribbon.
  • Openwork ribbon.

  • How to make a beautiful organizer out of a box with your own hands

    First of all, it is better to glue the box with masking tape so that it does not fall apart and is stronger.

    Then we start making the insides. To do this, we need cardboard, folding it in half, we get strips of the required length, their width should not exceed the height of the box. If, on the contrary, the box is very deep, it must be cut to the desired height.

    The length and number of strips are determined based on the width and length of the box. As a result, the cell size should be approximately 5x5. An example is shown in the figure.

    Now these strips need to be cut correctly. Since their width is 11 cm, the incision should be 5.5 cm in both cases. The incisions are made every 5 cm, from the side where the cardboard is glued, i.e. not where the fold is. We cut this way:

    Now we connect everything together to get a structure.

    Here, the top is pre-pasted with a satin ribbon, so that the box looks more beautiful from above. The construction is ready. Let's move on to the design of the box itself.

    We glue the box with a cloth, and in this case the cloth is simply fixed with masking tape at the bottom of the box and at the bottom of the box.

    We cover the gluing points with a white sheet of cardboard, or something else at our discretion.

    Now we install the structure inside the box. In this case, cells of 5 cm and two larger compartments are made.

    After installation, the box can be decorated in any way, in this case, it is just a satin ribbon and an openwork ribbon. We glue the tape to the glue for a moment, and attach the tape to the stapler. The result is as follows:

    We need a thick fabric (I had a “teak” lying around in my chest for about 20 years), a 12 mm wide ribbon and thick cardboard, scissors (). We will make an organizer 36x36cm and 8 cm high. First of all, we will draw it, I decided to make 8 cells 9x9 and 4 cells 9x18. After everything is drawn, we begin to calculate how long we need to cut off the stripes for the internal partitions.

    The first strip consists of the 1st horizontal and 1st vertical partitions of 9 cm each, which means it is 18 cm plus allowances on both sides. How to calculate the rest is shown in the figure. We cut the strips 14 cm wide so that when folded they are 1 cm less than the main width of the organizer. Using the marker (), we immediately make the markup, according to which we will sew them.
    So, we need to cut:

    Now we sew them according to the markup

    We sew parts of the inner walls between the partitions, so that the top and bottom from the edge of the partition to the edge of the wall is 0.5 cm each.

    Sew on the outer walls and trim the upper edge with tape

    Sew on the bottom and trim along the edge with tape, if you want the organizer to fold, sew a zipper into the bottom diagonally from corner to corner.

    Now we insert strips of cardboard into the walls and sew the corners again, finishing the edges with tape

    So our organizer is ready

    I hope my master class was informative enough and you liked it. Good luck with your needlework !!!

    You can quickly and easily make an organizer from a cardboard box. Select the correct size box to fit into the cabinet. You can use one or more shoeboxes. Cover with a cloth, for this use PVA glue. It will turn out very nicely if you paste over the box with napkins using decoupage technique.

    Measure the length and width of the box, according to these dimensions cut strips 15-20 cm high from thick cardboard. Cover the parts with a cloth. Mark them on the size of the cells. Install the longitudinal dividers by fixing them to the bottom of the box with glue. On the crossbars, make slits according to the markings, not reaching the top of 1 cm and put on their main strips. The organizer is ready.

    In a dresser, you can make a laundry organizer even faster. Cut out cardboard partitions to the size of the box in which you intend to store the laundry, dividing the storage space into cells. Cells can be of any shape: square, diamond-shaped, rectangular.

    Other options for the laundry organizer based on the drawer are also possible. Instead of partitions, you can put small boxes glued together. Cells can be multi-colored plastic mugs, cans, connected to each other with glue.

    Hanging organizer

    A hanging fabric organizer will help free up space in the closet. It's as easy to make as out of the box. You will need thick fabric and material for the pockets. Cut out a canvas of the right size from thick fabric and sew pockets on it. For overhead parts, you can use jeans pockets, multi-colored patches, transparent fabric. Stitch the pockets in rows, then tape the perimeter with the trimming tape. Slip the top of the organizer over the bar of the hanger and sew. You can hang such an organizer for underwear on the door or outside on the end wall of the cabinet.
