Plastic bottles are an excellent material for the manifestation of creative abilities. A huge number of crafts organically fit into the landscape design of the house adjoining territories. This passion also has a noble function, preventing the environment from clogging with non-degradable waste. There are many ways to make palm from plastic bottles. The proposed options will help to build a real masterpiece, which will become a worthy element of decorating the site.

First option

This palm tree has an impressive size. To make a plant close to the original, a lot of plastic bottles will be required. Therefore, the task of collecting containers is best distributed in advance between the immediate environment. Capacities of brown and green color are intended for a classical palm. Extraordinary and extravagant personalities can experiment with plastic bottles of blue or other colors that are not traditional for palm trees.

Advice! A palm tree will retain its original attractiveness for a long time if the plastic bottles are pre-soaked in warm soapy water and the labels and adhesive solution carefully removed.

Materials required for work:

  • plastic container;
  • scissors and office knife;
  • wide adhesive tape;
  • thick wire for leaves;
  • metal rod for the trunk.

Bottles of the same volume will provide aesthetics to the craft. For a large plant, 2 liter containers are optimally suited, a medium-sized plant can be made from a half liter container. 0.5 liter bottles are appropriate for a dwarf specimen.

A palm tree made of plastic bottles with his own hands is collected in stages:

  • initially make branches for a magnificent crown;
  • then collect the trunk;
  • finally, the structure is joined together and securely fixed to the surface.

We will analyze step by step how to make a crown:

The number of branches at the top may vary, but the aesthetic appearance of the palm is achieved with at least 5-7 lush leaves.

When the preparation of the crown is over, proceed to the assembly of the palm trunk. It will also require almost the entire plastic bottle, with the exception of the bottom. The container is cut lengthwise into 5 equal fragments, as shown in the photo:

Palm blanks are strung on a rod, each new level comes with an offset. The result should be something like this:

Advice! To connect the crown and the trunk of a palm tree, parts are welded onto the top of the metal reinforcement where you can thread a wire with leaves. This is the most reliable way to fix. Small light leaves are fixed with tape.

Heavy construction is preferable to make a reliable foundation. There are several options for installing a palm from plastic bottles:

  • the barrel can be fixed on a metal platform, which subsequently burrows into the ground;
  • reinforcement is buried half a meter into the ground and concreted;
  • lighter products can be covered with brick chips with further compaction of the soil around the trunk of the palm tree.

Second option

The following method of palm formation from plastic bottles with a step-by-step algorithm of action differs in originality.

Work begins with the laborious process of assembling the barrel:

  • A third of the plastic container cut off from the neck side will be required.
  • All blanks are cut into 8 parts, leaving a small area near the base untouched.
  • So that the trunk of the palm tree has a scaly surface, each segment bends outward.
  • The use of the lower part of the container will help reduce the waste of plastic bottles. To do this, use a hot knife at the bottom to make a hole that is suitable in diameter. Otherwise, the process of forming blanks is identical to the algorithm described above.

Palm leaves can also be made in a different shape. The crown will be presented in the form of wide foliage resembling a fan. For it, you can use plastic containers of green and yellow.

Comment! The splendor of the crown directly depends on the number of leaves from the bottles, and their width - on the size of the containers.

It is better to make a crown of a tall palm from a container of 5 l capacity, for a medium-sized plant, 1.5 l containers will be sufficient. Cut the leaves of the fan is quite simple:

  • on a plastic container the bottom is removed;
  • the bottle is cut lengthwise into 3 parts;
  • each segment at the end is rounded;
  • the petals are cut with a fringe on both sides, in the middle there is a narrow, untouched strip with a width of about 1.5 cm;
  • splendor is achieved by bending the fringe in different directions.

In conclusion, the elements strung on the cable and fittings are fastened together.

Third option

Another way involves creating a palm tree using the bottoms of plastic bottles. It should be noted that for such an instance of packaging, much more will be required.

Crown decoration in stages:

  • On each bottom it is necessary to make a hole that in diameter corresponds to the prepared base. Work is carried out with a hot knife or drill.
  • Green bottle blanks strung on a hard cable.
  • The edges of the wire are fixed with covers so that the parts remain in place.

For a trunk of a palm, a log with an appropriate diameter will be required. The bottoms of brown bottles are lapped with nails on it. The result is such a wonderful palm tree:

The video tutorial will present another way to make an attractive instance of an exotic plant to decorate the site.

  • “Since childhood, I had a craving for needlework, I studied a lot myself, somehow there wasn’t enough time for everything,” he says about himself. Elena Kudinova (Znamensk, Russia)- Now there is time for creativity: children have grown up, concerns have become a little less. I want to try something that I still do not know how to do. I mastered crafts from pasta, colored salt and plastic bottles. Here is another need to work out, and then I have according to plan. I don’t have any system in my hobbies, as they say: "if someone knows how, then why not learn me as well?"

Plastic bottles are the real building material for all kinds of designs that will decorate your home and garden. What just did not come up with the craftsmen who have already mastered this technique well!

So do not rush to throw away bottles, especially if they are multi-colored. So, from green you can make "parts" for plastic flowers - leaves. Of course, they can also be made of transparent plastic, but for greater reliability, it is better to take green bottles.

Having made leaves from plastic bottles, you can give a complete look to your flower, made from the same "raw material". By the way, today such flowers have become very popular among summer residents. Made with their own hands, they will perfectly decorate any flowerbed.

The process of making such leaves is simple and does not take much time. Materials at hand will also need to be minimized - in addition to the bottles themselves, you will need scissors with which we will cut blanks for leaves, a candle and matches or a lighter to light it. It remains only to arm yourself with imagination and begin to act. Only it should nevertheless be more careful not to get hurt in the process.

Perhaps it will be difficult for someone to understand the instructions for making leaflets from a plastic bottle, especially if you have not previously been fond of making all kinds of things for giving from this unusual improvised material, but saw them only in the photo. Especially for such situations, we prepared a training video, by watching which, you can get a complete picture of how such simple products from plastic bottles are obtained.

Master class: making leaves for flowers

If you decide to make several flowers for a summer residence, and you have the flowers yourself ready, and it remains to supplement them with leaves, then let's start.

We take our bottle and cut off the bottom of it. So we will make a stable base to which our flower will be attached. But the remaining plastic will go to the manufacture of leaflets. It must be divided into five equal parts, trimmed in the form of a triangle - it is necessary that the vertices are sharp.

If you are afraid to cut a leaf crookedly, then you can use the blank. You will need paper for this. Draw a leaf shape on it, and cut along the contour some of these leaves from the bottle. Now also lightly melt them above the candle. In this case, petioles of leaves twist in a spiral. Soften the lower ends of the petiole with a candle flame - now they can be twisted around the stem of the flower.

Leaves from plastic bottles can be made for palm trees, if you decide to make it for a summer residence. There are two ways to make leaves:

- cut off the bottom of the bottles. Cut the resulting blanks in half so that the spiral for the lid remains intact. Now just give them a leaf shape. It can be oval or with notches - whatever, fantasize!

- cut the bottoms of the bottles in the same way. Then, on each of the blanks, make frequent vertical cuts, they should almost reach the spiral of the lid. Insert the blanks one into the other, and so that the structure does not crumble - secure it with a wire base. Everything, the finished crown can be attached to the trunk of a palm tree.

A person’s desire to decorate his home is not limited to the area of \u200b\u200ban apartment or house. Entering the street, it is embodied in flowerbeds and front gardens, in garden bushes and trees. But seasonal changes in nature constantly make adjustments to the beauty we have created.

But how to create such a picture from improvised tools that can please the eye for many years? We will tell in this article.

Artificial Palm Material

Raw materials for the manufacture of man-made palms will be plastic bottles. This is one of the most common containers on the planet for various drinks.

To create a palm tree you will need a large number of the same type of plastic bottles in two colors:

  • brown: from kvass or beer - for a tree trunk,
  • green: from sprite, tarragon or the same beer - for its leaves.

There may be several forms, in this case you will have to alternate them during assembly, but it is better to have the same ones, matching both in color and in shape.

Harvesting the material will be the most difficult job in the process of "growing" palm trees from plastic bottles with their own hands. But, if you have children, and they have friends, then all the work can turn into a fascinating cultural and educational event with a small palm grove in the end.

Or not just palm trees.

Before using the bottle, wash it so that the remnants of the drinks in them do not become the glue base for dust, and remove the labels and the remnants of the glue with which they were glued.

Assembling palm from plastic bottles - step by step for beginners

There are a lot of manufacturing options for a plastic palm, consider the most common.

1. The trunk.

The basis for it can serve:

  • metal rod or fittings;
  • wooden post;
  • dried tree.

Consider the options for making a palm trunk. For the manufacture of trunks of these palm trees were applied various technologies.

AT the first case the top of the bottles just cut off, and they were strung on the rod, inserted into each other. It only remotely resembles a palm tree trunk, but is simple and does not require as many bottles as other methods.

Second option resembles the first, but in it the tops of the bottles are carved with a crown, the teeth of which are slightly turned outward.

Third - It requires a sufficiently large number of bottles, but in this way it is possible to decorate very thick bases, imitating real types of palm trees with thick trunks, or turn into them trunks of dried trees, freed from unnecessary branches.

Sometimes, in order not to look for such a huge number of bottles of the same type of brown color, they collect the same white in shape, and after screwing their bottoms with screws to the wooden base of the barrel, they are painted with it in one brown color.

This can be done with acrylic paints or automotive enamels that are resistant to fading, although some use cheaper nitro-paints from aerosol cans. Sometimes with a brush, after drying the first layer, the recesses are painted in a darker color, it turns out more realistic. It is better to coat everything with a colorless frost-resistant varnish after painting.

On the formation of the texture of the barrel fourth way a rather large number of bottles also go away, but this imitation looks even more believable and beautiful. Such flakes are obtained using the curvature of the legs of the bottles.

Unlike the previous options, formed from below, a set of such a “bark” is carried out from the top of the “trunk”, when the fasteners of the upper layers (screws, nails, staples) are covered with the lower ones, and the bottom is dug into the ground or sprinkled with it.

Similar to the same method. fifth option, only it imitates the appearance of palm trees, the bark of which is formed by leaves that have died off along the growth of the tree, leaving behind sticking out thick parts of the cuttings. We will not describe the method of its formation, it is clear from the photograph.

And we will illustrate step-by-step photographs the simplest of textured methods, only unlike the photographs in which it is shown, and where only the lower halves of the bottles are used, we will use all the material. We took a white bottle so that the marking was more noticeable.

The upper part of the bottle, after cutting and bending the ends, unfolds and is inserted into the bottom. Both are mounted on a metal rod that forms the trunk and bends to your liking. To do this, holes of the desired diameter are drilled in the bottoms of the bottles, as in the photo.

It is not so big: for a 3-meter trunk you will need 19 - 20 two-liter bottles.

For bulkiness and resistance to crushing of plastic in the future, during the filling of the inside of the bottles, you can fill it with sand.

2. Leaves.

Some of them resemble palm trees only at a very great distance, but they are easy to manufacture.

It is more difficult when you have to work additionally with scissors.

Above the edges of the leaves, you can slightly conjure with open fire, as in the last photo of this collection, and they will take on a more natural look, because in nature there are no leaves with rectangular ends.

Reliable fastening will be if a washer with tubes is welded to the metal rod of the barrel into which the metal rods of palm branches are inserted. You can fasten such a washer to a wooden trunk or simply drill it and insert scraps of metal tubes.

You can collect branches using the corks of the bottles themselves.

Or you can cut off the threaded neck using a stapler. Or, inserting one-on-one bottle leaves, fasten only the last one to the rod.

It is also of interest to one of the methods for manufacturing the trunk, which can be used in the manufacture of a larger palm tree for placement in the yard, as well as the method of heat treatment of plastic that we mentioned earlier.

Artificial coconuts, bananas and other fruits of palm trees can be made of polystyrene foam, glued with paper and painted. If you paint them in several layers with acrylic paints for outdoor work, then they can live on the street for quite some time.

And finally, another video:

Dear readers, if you still have questions, ask them using the form below. We will be happy to communicate with you;)

Then instead of throwing them away (thereby polluting the environment), you can make a lot of crafts from them.

Crafts can be crafted with children or on their own. Themand You can decorate a house, garden or cottage.

One of such original crafts is a palm tree. Having created such a palm tree from plastic bottles, you can decorate it with any garden or cottage. She looks beautiful, and for its manufacture does not need to be a great specialist.

Plastic bottle palm for beginners

You will need:

Plastic bottles (preferably green and brown)

Scissors

Drill or awl

Metal rod, straight branch or thin plastic pipe.

* First, wash all bottles and remove labels from them.

1. Cut the brown plastic bottles in half, and then cut the bottom half in a zigzag pattern.

2. Cut the green bottles along to get a few halves. Cut the fringe on both sides of each half.

3. Make a hole (with a drill or awl) at the bottom of each of the brown halves. The hole should be exactly the thickness of the rod.

4. Take a rod (metal, wooden or plastic) and place brown halves of the bottles on it.

5. Green bottles (palm branches) can be attached to the crown of the trunk using a thin wire that slips into each branch and into the trunk, and its ends are twisted.

How to make palm from plastic bottles

You will need:

2 liter plastic bottles

Scissors or stationery knife

Wire

Plastic or wooden rod

Glue or tape.

Make crown

1. Cut the plastic bottle in half (across). Leaves will be created from the top.

2. Cut the half of the bottle into strips extending to the neck.

* You can also cut the bottle into 4 petals and cut each petal several times.

3. Take the wire and begin to string on it blanks of green bottles (palm leaves). It is worth noting that you need to tighten the lid on the very first workpiece, so you can fix the green leaf stalk in a knot. It is also worth doing with the last part of the bottle.

* That palm with about 6-7 leaves looks beautiful.

* The base of the leaves should have a long stalk to make it easier to fix the leaves to the palm.

Making a palm trunk

1. Cut the bottom off the brown bottle, leaving almost the whole bottle intact.

2. Cut the bottle from bottom to top into 5 wide strips (see image).

3. Begin stringing brown blanks on a strong metal, plastic or wooden rod to get these palm trunks.
